Is Chiropractic Right for You?

Our team of Chiropractors specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders that may be causing pain and discomfort. Chiropractic treatment is used to reduce pain in joints that aren’t functioning properly.

The term “chiropractic adjustment” refers to the specific adjustment or manipulation our doctors apply to your vertebrae that have abnormal movement or aren’t functioning normally.
Simply put, we use manual adjustment techniques that eliminate misalignments in your spine that may be causing pain and other health problems.
The human spine — or vertebral column — has seven cervical vertebrae in the neck, twelve thoracic vertebrae where the ribs are attached, and five lumbar vertebrae in the lower back. Five fused vertebrae form the sacrum, and four the coccyx. (visual?)
Chiropractic adjustments are effective when you suffer from any of the following:

Our treatment programs are specifically designed to increase range of motion, decreased pain, reduced nerve irritation, inflammation and increase overall nerve function.

The adjustments our doctors make are often accompanied by an audible release of gas called joint cavitation.

The audible sound — or cavitation — is caused by the release of oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide, which releases joint pressure and decreases muscle spasm. This is not a required component to achieving relief, often the same release occurs without an audible sound. Most of our patients feel relief after just a few treatments.

Some patients, however, experience minor discomfort that usually lasts for only a short time if the surrounding muscles are in spasm or when you tense up during the chiropractic procedure.
